The 160 Acre Woods

I’m taking a deep breath as I write this.  My old fur baby has died.  She was suffering so badly the past few months that it was time.   That doesn’t make it any easier to deal with or lessen the pain.

Miss H took it so hard –harder than I imagined, but how does a almost five year old handle death?  I’m not sure if she can really process it; but she knows Sandy isn’t coming home again and we miss her something terrible.   The other two really don’t get it, so not really worried about that; we do have other dogs, so I’m not sure if they’ll even notice.

I miss her terribly.  I remember when we brought her home from the humane society when she was 8 weeks old.  She traveled to the states and back with us.  She was my baby before I had any real babies.  She was my friend when I needed one more than anything else.   She was a dog that everyone loved because she was so gentle and well behaved.  She was a protector and she was part of our family.

We cheered gummy worms and each said a nice thing about Sandy to say good-bye.  At least we know she’s not in pain anymore.

Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past.
It’s January. Lets try and remember this. We need to forget the past and move forward.It’s too much luggage for us to carry on our owns. Give it to Jesus and move forward as we move forward into the year!

Elise over at Extravagant Grace has been an inspiration in my blogging and I can’t help be thrilled she’s become a friend of mine.  She has such amazing ministries and her heart is seeking so much for God.. it is just amazing to watch (yes, I’m babbling.. I can only say great things about Elise).

Michelle over at Ozarks Sew n’ Sews  has been a friend, a joiner of WFW’s and has taught me how important it is to blog about our lives, love and animals.  Her kindness and friendship has been so encouraging

At Christmas time I saw a lot of ladies hanging their ornaments from their chandler, so I thought what a great idea! We’ll hang our hearts from ours for Valentine’s day. My children love this! They think it’s so neat to see and the baby loves to look up at them and try and reach them. Basically the craft consists of 3 different colored papers cut into a heart. I stamped a heart and the word love in rotating patterns, using the stampin up circle and flower punch.

you know it’s a rough day when…

* everything you cleaned up yesterday has been destroyed within 5 minutes of the little people waking

* can’t find a pair of socks that match

* you forget all the stuff for your bible study this morning

* haven’t had a coffee or shower before you leave

* think everyone is dressed & when you arrive at said destination find that your #3 has no socks/tights on and no diaper!

* you come home and found the dog has gotten into the garbage

oh ya!

I”m so thankful God has such a sense of humor.  No, I’m not being sarcastic.. he really does… reminds me that I’m human and that I can’t do it on my own, especially in times like these…   I’m having one of those days… weeks where I feel totally inadequate.. I need to rely on God more….

better than fine gold.. think about it.. how rich would you really be if we eat of HIS fruit!

not pregnant…………

I am however b12 deficient.

Go figure.  That explains the tiredness I can’t tell you how happy I am!  I was starting to freak out a bit with the call back!  I do need to get checked for my sugar in another 3 months, because it wasn’t the best results, but it wasn’t bad either –the high part of normal.  Glad to hear I’m not pregnant either… wasn’t sure with all the tiredness, but I”m so glad that could be explained and not in my head kwim?  Thanks for the prayers this morning!!

okay, well I have to go to the doctor’s today. I thought I was on the safe. Last week I went and took a sugar test, seeing with Master J and Miss E I ended up with GD (gestational diabetics). As well, I went and got a pregnancy test… haha , ya, you can laugh and go “Holy cow” over that one.

I DID get my tubes tied with Master J — seeing four cesearans in 4 years has done a lot of damage to me. I am however late and not feeling hmmmmm what’s the right wording… not feeling like I can stay awake, which happens to me in pregnancy. Anyhow, don’t think I am, but thought I’d throw it in with the sugar test for good measure. So anyhow, when my new doctor (I found one I actually don’t mind) asked who did my c/s. and I told him and he says in a cautious voice “Well, sometimes the “wrong” tubes get tied”…

OH that’s comforting!!! And than said if I didn’t hear back from him everything was okay. Well I didn’t hear back for a week.. we’re on week 2… so I’m not impressed! I am almost wishing I’m pregnant over the diabetic, but chances are I”ll be both! I’m so optimistic aren’t i? lol

Anyhow, a little prayer today would be nice. I see him at 11ish.

so sunday morning, I can hear the kids out our bedroom.  they don’t come in an bother us as usual.  When I finally get up the whole play area is cleaned up.  my 4 year old says “Well, mama, I thought you’d like it, so i cleaned it”.  I mean amazing.. you can see the floor, she put the toys away… wow.  All I can say is I’m blessed!
